Things to Avoid in a Wedding

A wedding is a very big event and in the excitement and rush of planning, many mistakes can be made. Here are a few mistakes to avoid while planning, during, and after your wedding.
  1. Don’t Overspend
It’s very easy to cross the line for your wedding and end up in financial troubles later. Resist the urge to be extravagant if you can’t afford it. The last thing you and your husband need is to start your new marriage with debts and financial problems.
2.   Prioritize, prioritize, prioritize.
What really matters most to you, the photographer, the music and dancing, the food and wine, the decorations, or being able to accommodate a large guest list? Put your money towards what you care about. You will have regrets if you don’t spend money on what really counts.
3.  Don’t hold your bachelor party or bridal shower the night before your wedding
The last thing you want to do is spend all night partying the day before your wedding. Even if you don’t get drunk and end up with a hangover, you’ll still be very tired and unable to cope with the pressures of the main day. Plan all parties for the week before the wedding so that on the eve of your wedding, you can sleep and be well rested for the next day.
4.  Don’t wait till the last day to pick up wedding attire
Wedding attire is very important and no mistakes should be made. Make sure the dress and the grooms outfits are picked up on time. Also, let the members of the train try on their outfits in time so that all necessary amendments will be made before the big day.
5.   Don’t try to do everything by yourself
Most brides try to take on too many responsibilities and this causes them to be overstressed. Recruit the help of everyone who’s willing. Let your friends go shopping with you for moral support. Ask for advice from people who have gotten married and planned weddings. Don’t try to do it all on your own.
6.  Don’t be too demanding
Don’t expect perfection from people who are trying to help you. Don’t be rude to them or order them around. They have no obligation to be around so make sure you thank them and don’t work them like donkeys. Also remember to give them little thank-you gifts for making your day a success
7.  Make sure you rest afterwards
Your wedding day is one of the biggest, most important days of your life. You will be exhausted and a bit disorderly the following day. There will be many last minute things to sort out and a lot of arrangements to make.  Traveling is the last thing you will want to worry about. Wait at least a few days after your wedding before going on your honeymoon.
